Hey there, love

Hey there Delilah
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl, tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear it's true

Hey there Delilah
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice, it's my disguise
I'm by your side

Oh it's what you do to me

Hey there Delilah
I know times are getting hard
But just believe me, girl,
Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar
We'll have it good
We'll have the life we knew we would
My word is good

Hey there Delilah
I've got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I'd write it all.
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all

Oh it's what you do to me

A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they've got planes and trains and cars
I'd walk to you if I had no other way
Our friends would all make fun of us
and we'll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Delilah I can promise you
That by the time we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you're to blame

Hey there Delilah
You be good and don't you miss me
Two more years and you'll be done with school
And I'll be making history like I do
You'll know it's all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there Delilah here's to you.
This one's for you

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me.

Hey you, i'll be listening to this when you're far away.
but while you're there, remember dearest: hey there, i love you

Just leave me your star dust to remember you by

Gregory And The Hawk

Boats And Birds

If you be my star, I'll be your sky
you can hide underneath me and come out at night
when I turn jet black and you show off your light
I live to let you shine
I live to let you shine

but you can skyrocket away from me
and never come back
if you find another galaxy far from here
with more room to fly
just leave me your stardust to remember you by

if you be my boat, I'll be your sea
a depth of pure blue
just to probe curiosity
ebbing and flowing and pushed by a breeze
I live to make you free
I live to make you free

but you can set sail to the west if you want to
and past the horizon till I can't even see you f
ar from here where the beaches are wide
just leave me your wake to remember you by

if you be my star, I'll be your sky
you can hide underneath me and come out at night
when I turn jet black and you show off your light
I live to let you shine
I live to let you shine

but you can skyrocket away from me
and never come back
if you find another galaxy far from here
with more room to fly
just leave me your stardust to remember you by
stardust to remember you by

can i blame you for being with someone who sang this song to you?
my dear girl, i hope it'll all be worth it.
thank you for the song. it's more than beautiful.
i hope we can do as we planned to. :)
dearest love, though it isn't really something i found,
but i want you to have this.

reminiscing the past

and i wondered what was today.

it's been a very long time since i've written anything, perhaps, that, is a good thing.
perhaps it is from my friends' lives i suddenly remember how fortunate i am, how blessed.
and wonder. if i'm as good a friend to them as they are to me.

the past, we seem to all be reminiscing
and yet know the futility of it all.
i sit here and wonder if my friends, do they look back because they miss it?
or wonder, like me, cos we still can't understand it.

is it only when we have something else before we can look back without longing?
what makes it last, what makes it end?
and yet time moves on,
leaving us laggards behind

and there you are again, my dinner partner,
how did you know i was missing you?
i love you.

And here's to a fresh breath of air,
and cool summer breeze.
To the friends who were there,
and those who truly care.

Here's to the love in your heart,
and your faith though it's dark.
To your unending music
that restores my heart.

And this, is a new beginning. The old is gone, and in time, history, will be forgotten.

and there you were. (:

That is my heart over there.
It likes to be outside and to swing from trees,
and sometimes, it sings in the shower.
That is my heart over there.
It takes walks at night and remembers things you said,
and sometimes,
it wishes that world were quieter place.
That is my heart over there.
I try to hide it sometimes.
I remind it that it is not a prom queen
and it might get hurt.
I tell it not to take too many chances.
But it runs to love as if flowers were promises,
as if it believed in high-school dances.
That is my heart over there,
taking your hand.
Oh! It would be better to be patient,
I know it!
See my heart there beside your heat?
It looks stronger than it is sometimes.
Please,
be careful with it.

i love you dear.
the one who brought beauty and words back into my life.

Time enough for being braver - that's what matters

Let's read the trees and their Autumn leaves
As they fall like a dress undone
At the end of Summers, love will find lovers
Who need the shadows of a winter sun

Don't tell me you're leaving
we can hide in the evening
It's getting darker than it should
If we read the leaves as they blow in the breeze
Would it stop us now, my love

Time enough for hard questions
Time enough for all our fears
Time is tougher than we both know yet,
Time enough for tears

The moon is milk and the sky where it's split
Is magic, and we all need to believe, that we can
Wake up in the dream, it's not as hard as it seems
You know its harder to leave

Time enough for being braver
Time enough for all the fears
Time is tougher than we both know yet
Time enough for tears

I heard you say
underneath your breath some kind of prayers
I heard You say
underneath your breath
that you never wanted, to feel this way about anybody else

Time enough for hard questions
Time enough for all our fears
Time is tougher than we both know yet
Time enough for tears
Time enough for being braver
Time enough I love this time of year,
Time is tough, its running away from us,
Time enough for tears
